1. Acceptance
SchoolSignal (Chinese name: 小本记; “the App”) is operated by Shanghai Zehengce Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
If you enter, share, or manage information for a family member, minor, or another person, you confirm you have authority to do so and will use only the minimum necessary information.
2. Service scope
The App helps turn school notices, timetables, text, files, and calendar content into evidence-linked drafts, actions, schedules, and tomorrow readiness plans. At your choice, it can connect to iOS notifications, calendars, Spotlight, widgets, Live Activities, Shortcuts, and iCloud.
The App is a personal and household organization tool. It is not an official school system, emergency channel, legal service, or medical service, and it does not replace the original school notice. For attendance, fees, pickup, safety, or other high-consequence matters, rely on the school or relevant authority’s official information.
3. Eligibility and household responsibility
You must have the legal capacity required to accept these Terms. Minors should use the App with a parent or guardian’s consent and guidance. Paid, sharing, export, deletion, and calendar-writing actions should be performed by someone authorized to make those decisions.
You are responsible for securing the device, Apple account, and backup files; for confirming that content is lawful, accurate, and authorized; and for managing household sharing access. Do not use the App for unauthorized surveillance, identity profiling, or public distribution of student data.
4. Recognition, confirmation, and system effects
Recognition, parsing, classification, and system language-model output may be incomplete or wrong and are suggestions only. Review source evidence, dates, time zones, learner identity, locations, and conflicts before confirming.
The App follows a confirm-before-action model, but notification delivery, calendar writes, CloudKit sync, widget refreshes, and other effects still depend on Apple services, permissions, network conditions, device state, and system scheduling. The App distinguishes queued, successful, partial, and retryable outcomes; a locally saved record does not mean every external effect has completed.
5. Subscriptions, prices, and trials
SchoolSignal includes free features and optional SchoolSignal Plus auto-renewable subscriptions. The price, currency, taxes, eligibility, and renewal date shown by the App Store at purchase are authoritative.
- The annual plan may include a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers when shown by the App Store. The monthly plan has no trial.
- After confirmation, payment is charged to the Apple ID account. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled according to Apple’s rules before the current period ends.
- You can cancel, restore, or view the subscription in Apple account subscription management. Apple handles refunds under its policy.
- Apple Family Sharing may apply when eligible. Sharing a subscription does not share household records; data sharing still requires a separate iCloud invitation.
- Expiration, refund, or revocation does not delete existing data. The free tier retains viewing, core planning, export, backup, and deletion; some advanced features may become unavailable or read-only.

6. Apple and third-party services
The App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, CloudKit, Apple Foundation Models, notifications, calendars, Spotlight, widgets, Live Activities, Siri, and Shortcuts are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms, regional availability, system requirements, and service status.
The App’s core features do not depend on a developer-operated AI backend. If an Apple capability is unavailable on a device or in a region, the App attempts to offer rule-based parsing, manual confirmation, local use, or static export, but third-party services cannot be guaranteed.
7. Acceptable and prohibited use
You may use the App for personal, household, or authorized education planning within these Terms and App Store licensing rules. You must not:
- infringe privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights;
- bypass permissions, subscriptions, quotas, region controls, or security controls;
- upload, process, or share material you are not authorized to use;
- attack, disrupt, automate abusive activity against, or distribute malware through the App; or
- use the App where prohibited by law or present a suggestion as an official school or operator decision.
8. Intellectual property
The App’s software, brand, original interface, icons, text, and related materials belong to the operator or applicable rights holders and are protected by law. You retain rights in content you lawfully provide and grant the limited processing permission necessary to perform the features you choose.
Open-source components are used under their respective licenses, available in App settings. No other rights are transferred.
9. Service changes, compatibility, and availability
We may update the App for security, system compatibility, legal requirements, or product improvement and will explain significant changes when appropriate. Results still awaiting Apple, network, permission, or human confirmation will not be presented as completed.
The App supports the iPhones and system versions listed on its App Store page. Older systems, jailbroken devices, beta systems, low storage, outages, or regional restrictions may affect functionality. A feature that creates a security or legal risk may be discontinued, while reasonable export and deletion paths will be preserved where possible.
10. Warranties and responsibility limits
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided as-is and as-available. We use reasonable care to maintain security and core functionality, but do not warrant that recognition results, school content, third-party services, notification timing, or system scheduling will always be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Keep original school notices, manually verify high-consequence information, and retain exported backups needed for long-term use. The operator is not responsible for Apple-service failures, network interruption, user error, unauthorized sharing, or third-party content beyond reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes non-waivable consumer rights or liability for personal injury, intentional misconduct, or gross negligence where applicable. Other liability is limited, where legally permitted, to direct and reasonably foreseeable actual loss related to the claim.
11. Stopping use, backup, and deletion
You may stop using or uninstall the App at any time. Uninstalling may remove local data, but it does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription or necessarily remove iCloud data, sharing relationships, or exported backups.
For a complete exit, export a backup if needed, then address the subscription, household sharing, CloudKit data, and local data separately. See the support page. We may restrict a feature, within applicable law, if a violation creates a security, legal, or rights risk.
12. Applicable rules and disputes
Non-waivable consumer-protection and data-protection rules in your location continue to apply. Subject to those mandatory rules, these Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China.
For a dispute, first contact help@applover.top so we can try to resolve it. If no resolution is reached, either party may bring the matter before a court with lawful jurisdiction.
13. Changes and contact
The current version and effective date appear on this page. Material changes will receive prominent notice where appropriate. Continued use after a change means acceptance, except where law requires separate consent.
